Was Xbox 360 The Golden Era of Clans?

Since the beginning of the internet organized groups of gamers have gathered as clans — the goal has always been to unite like minded players to enhance their gaming experience, create friendships and share their love for video games.

Throughout the clan scenes history there have been obvious highs and lows. To many, despite all the technological advancements that make clan-building a breeze (i.e. discord and clanhub) the Xbox 360 Era remains the largest for organized gaming clan success. Boasting heavy-hitters such as Halo 3 and Call of Duty Black Ops II, its easy to see why this era remains so beloved by the clan scene of today, and often referred to as the “golden age” of clans.
