.) Uniqueness - Uniqueness is something that can make or break a clan. Each gaming organization and gaming clan struggles with this, if you can craft your own uniqueness that sets you apart from your other divisions, even fellow clans. That will draw the public eye towards you. All of the biggest gaming orgs and scenes have their thing that sets them apart.
.) Connections - Having connections to fellow gaming organizations, communities, designers, writers, and more. Having people with knowledge in different aspects of professions will not only boost your organization/community. It will show that you are out in the scene actively looking for more people to join you and your vision.
.) Belief - Believe in your vision, believe that you will succeed. If you expect players to get behind your vision and your clan, you first must believe. Express your passion for growth to your members and future members. Paint a clear roadmap with goals for success and work alongside your member-base to accomplish them.
.) Lead from within - No player wants to be a member of a clan where the leader simply barks down orders and sets expectations without assisting the members themselves in completing the expectations in question. There is a major difference between a Leader and a Boss, a leader will inspire their peers with their own dedication and actions.
.) Have Fun - The number one mistake most clans make is by creating a workplace atmosphere inside their clan. A clan to the majority is a hobby and an escape from the burdens of life. Do not make your clan experience like a second job without pay. Create a safe but exciting environment to grow, share, and enjoy. Your clan should resemble a sanctuary vs. an office space. No matter how far you go as a clan, or what hardships you undergo, never forget to have fun.
