Remember back in the day when you'd log onto your console and instantly get hit up by 20-30 of your buds to start a squad sesh? That was the glory days for clans. You couldn't play a Halo 2 match without running into a KSI member on the opposite team. But now, you don’t see that, and that's because the scene isn’t actively bringing in new blood. If you’ve paid attention, you’ll notice the scene’s member base happens to be a lot of the same people jumping from one clan to another over a long period of time. But don't worry, there's a solution to bring back the clan scene to its former glory.
Data suggests that the decline in popularity of clans is due to a lack of new player recruitment. The same members are continuously being cycled through. So how can we revive the clan scene? By elevating recruitment efforts, updating obsolete policies, and fostering a hospitable and inclusive environment for all incoming members
Clans should make a concerted effort to engage with new players by promoting themselves and providing incentives for joining. This could involve posting on various Discord servers or reaching out to different gaming communities outside their usual sphere. It is imperative that the clan culture is welcoming and respectful to all members, as a positive and helpful environment will entice more players and retain their involvement.
Remember, members are more likely to seek other options if a clan has a detrimental and harmful culture. A social media presence plagued by conflict and negativity not only detracts from potential sponsorships, but also reflects poorly on the entire gaming community and the scene as a whole.
By analyzing the problem, we can identify the issue and find a solution. To rejuvenate the clan scene, it's crucial to attract new members and foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. With these efforts, the clan scene can regain its former glory and thrive once more.

Well said! I think it's also important to mention that a key part that some people miss in terms of creating a clan is just truly enjoying and being patient with the process. Take your time and allow yourself to enjoy each step of the way in building and growing your clan! The focus should always be to meet new people and strive to reach new goals to keep the atmosphere fresh but also to keep it fun for everyone. There are so many different things that come up in my head when I first read this article and I would love to see what other people add to this conversation!
